Pembroke Ski and Snowboard Club, formerly known as Alice Hill Park, is a small, family oriented ski hill that offers high quality lessons and passes at a very affordable price. We are located in Laurentian Valley in Renfrew County - a 15 minute drive from Pembroke, Ontario - in the heart of the Ottawa Valley. We have ski runs for the whole family in all levels of difficulty. We have both a t-bar lift and a poma lift for beginners. Everyone is welcome to come to our hill and enjoy the friendly, family atmosphere.
The hill is run by a non-profit group of volunteers. Without volunteers we would not have a hill! Volunteers run registration days, organize work and clean up days at the hill, do fundraising, marketing and advertising. If you are interested in helping out in any way, please contact us at 613-732-2776, by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or use our contact us link.
Trips for Kids provides mountain-bike outings and education for kids that would not otherwise experience these activities. Their goal is to combine lessons in personal responsibility, achievement and environmental awareness through development of practical skills and the simple act of having fun. Their Earn-A-Bike program focuses on recycling used bikes and bike parts and provides job-training programs for youth. The bikes that the program repairs provide safe, environmentally friendly and affordable transportation for both children and adults. This national program also supports individuals or groups who would like to form a similar organization in their community.
